Jörg Neun (born May 7, 1966 in Bleichenbach , Ortenberg ) is a former German soccer player in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. Between 1985 and 1987 he played 13 games for the German U21 national team and scored one goal. He is currently (2007) working as a trainer .
Player career
Midfielder Neun learned to play football at his home club TSG Bleichenbach. In 1977 he moved to the youth team of Offenbacher Kickers, where he was transferred to the first team after they were relegated from the Bundesliga in 1984 and became a regular player there. Since Offenbach was relegated directly to the league, the Bundesliga promoted 1. FC Nürnberg Neun signed. Coach Heinz Höher was convinced of Neun's talent, but after only six Bundesliga games for the club, Neun was awarded to Fortuna Cologne from November 1985 to gain more match practice. He did not return to Nuremberg after the 1985/86 season, but moved on to Bundesliga club SV Waldhof Mannheim . There he also made his breakthrough in the 1st Bundesliga.
For the second half of the 1987/88 season coach Wolf Werner brought him to the then European Cup participant Borussia Mönchengladbach . The first second half of the season as a regular followed another nine seasons for Borussia, before he moved to MSV Duisburg in 1997 and was under contract there for four years. At the end of his career he was relegated again and after a total of 358 Bundesliga games (18 goals) he completed the last two of his 55 second division games (1 goal) in the 2000/01 season .

Success as a player
Jörg Neun made it to the finals of the DFB Cup twice with Borussia Mönchengladbach . First he failed with his team in the 1992 final at Hannover 96 on penalties, in which he himself converted a penalty to 3: 3 in the meantime. Also in the finals of 1995 he was chosen. There his club won the cup with a 3-0 win over VfL Wolfsburg .
Coaching career
His first coaching station was at the district league club SV Neukirchen am Niederrhein (as of November 2007). At the same time, he trained the A1 youth of the DJK Hehn (district performance class Mönchengladbach-Viersen) (as of December 2007). From November 2009 to summer 2012 he worked as a coach for the district division Sportfreunde 06 Neuwerk.
