Jörg Petzold (born 1976 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German actor and voice actor . He is co-founder of Haus Bartleby , the center for career refusal based in Berlin.

life and work

After studying acting at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig, Petzold worked for two seasons at the Dresden State Theater from 1999 onwards . Thereafter, artistic director Friedrich Schirmer brought him to the Stuttgart State Theater , where he remained a member of the ensemble until 2005. In Stuttgart he played in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet , in Hannibal by Christian Dietrich Grabbe and in Peer Gynt .

Since 2005 Petzold has been working freelance mainly in Berlin, occasionally also in Stuttgart and Hamburg. The main focus of his work is speaking for Deutschlandradio Kultur , SWR and MotorFM . He works regularly for the radio station Flux FM , since 2009 he has presented new publications there in the book program Kleines undlesen Lassen . He also works as a voice actor for film and television productions. In 2005 and 2008 he was involved in two short film productions: Neuschwanstein Conspiracy (director: Ingo Rasper ) and Feelings and Stuff (director: Samuli Valkama).

2014 he founded together with the journalist Alix Faßmann and dramaturge Anselm Lenz in Berlin's Neukoelln the house Bartleby , a center for career refusal. In 2015 the project published the book Sag alles ab! with pleadings for the lifelong general strike, which received considerable media coverage. In 2016, this institution, in cooperation with brut Wien , the Club of Rome , the Heinrich Böll Foundation and the Wiener Passagen Verlag , organized the Capitalism Tribunal in Vienna , in which specific cases were indicted and negotiated. The series of events was broadcast in two languages, in German and English, via a live stream on the Internet and is accompanied by three book publications by Passagen Verlag.
