Jörg Quoos

Jörg Quoos (born August 27, 1963 in Heidelberg ) is a German journalist .

Professional background

After graduating from high school and doing military service in the air force's press staff, Quoos completed a traineeship at the Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung . There he was an editor from 1985 to 1990.

In 1990 he moved to the BZ. Since 1992 he has worked for the Bild group, initially as head of department, from 1997 to 2001 as deputy editor-in-chief for politics and economics, from 2001 to 2004 as a member of the editor-in-chief Bild und Bild am Sonntag . Since the end of 2004 he has been Deputy Editor-in-Chief Kai Diekmann alongside Alfred Draxler .

On January 1, 2013, he moved to Focus as editor-in-chief . On October 1, 2014, Quoos was replaced by Ulrich Reitz as editor-in-chief, and he himself left the magazine.

Since 2015 he has been editor-in-chief of the Funke central editorial office of the Funke media group , which he has been responsible for setting up since February 15.
