Jörg Sackmann (born December 2, 1960 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German chef .

Career

Sackmann comes from a Baiersbronn hotelier family. After training with Harald Wohlfahrt in Baiersbronn from 1977 to 1982 , Sackmann moved to the Maître restaurant in Berlin in 1982 and to Brenners Parkhotel in Baden-Baden in 1984 . In 1986 he went to Eckart Witzigmanns Aubergine in Munich and also attended the master school in Baden-Baden in 1986. He returned to the family-owned business, the Hotel Sackmann in Baiersbronn, in 1988 and initially managed the Silberberg restaurant there .

His gourmet restaurant Schlossberg , which opened in the Hotel Sackmann in 1993 , was awarded a Michelin star soon after it opened . In the 2014 to 2018 editions of the Michelin Guide, it was rated with two stars, and again with one star since 2019.

Since January 2011, Jörg Sackmann regularly as a TV chef in the ARD telecast ARD Buffet seen.

His son Nico Sackmann has been another chef at Hotel Sackmann since 2013.
