Jörg Viebahn

Jörg Viebahn (born July 21, 1964 in Gummersbach ) is a German entrepreneur and automobile racing driver .

Racing career

Jörg Viebahn got into motorsport in 1984. Since 2003 he started in endurance races .

In the VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring , he started for the first time in 2004 with a Honda Civic Type R . After that, he regularly competed in the VLN in various classes and racing vehicles and was able to achieve a total of 51 class wins and 21 group wins by 2018.

Since 2005 he has been driving for various racing teams in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring . In 2007 he achieved his best placement there in the BMW 120d with class victory in the S1 class.

From 2007 he started in the 24H Series racing series. That year he and the Mäder Motorsport team won the A2 class victory in a Honda S2000 at the Dubai 24-hour race . A year later, together with Claudia Hürtgen and Stian Sørlie , he celebrated overall victory in a BMW 120d at the 12-hour race in Hungary for Schubert Motorsport . In 2017, at the Brathurst 12-hour race with the PROsport Performance team in a Porsche Cayman Pro4 GT4, he achieved class victory in the GT4 class.

Viebahn started in 2013 for the first time in the GT4 Trophy , the later GT4 European Series . In this racing series, he achieved his greatest motorsport successes so far. In his debut year he won the title in the AM classification with a Porsche 997 Cup GT4 . In 2016 he was able to build on this and together with Peter Terting won the championship title in the PRO class in the Porsche Cayman Pro4 GT4.

Career as an entrepreneur

Viebahn studied business administration at the University of Mannheim .

Since 1991 he has been the owner and managing director of a production company for transport components in Wiehl .
