Jörn Rosenberg

Jörn Rosenberg is a German diplomat . He has been Ambassador to Mongolia since August 2019 . Before that he was Consul General in Almaty , Kazakhstan .

Career

Jörn Rosenberg studied law in Munich , Kiel and Speyer after completing his military service . Building on this, he studied international law at the London School of Economics and the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá / Colombia .

After joining the Foreign Service, he worked abroad at the German embassies in Moscow , Washington DC , New Delhi , Warsaw and Prague and as Consul General in Timisoara / Romania (1997-2000).

From 2013 to 2016 Rosenberg worked as a deputy ambassador at the German Embassy in Ottawa / Canada , then as Consul General in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

In mid-2019, Rosenberg was appointed ambassador to Mongolia and received on August 9 by the President of Mongolia, Chaltmaagiin Battulga , to hand over his credentials .

Rosenberg is married and has two children.
