The Guntersblum Jewish Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Guntersblum , a municipality in the Mainz-Bingen district in Rhineland-Palatinate . The cemetery is located south of Eimsheimer Straße and west of Guntersblumer Kellerweg at the end of the village.

history

The oldest surviving tombstone in the Jewish cemetery in Guntersblum is from 1849. It was erected for Joseph Salm, the head of the Guntersblum Jewish community, and his wife Jeanette.

The cemetery, which was expanded in 1893, has an area of 20.56 ares and today there are still about 80 tombstones ( mazewot ).
