Jewish cemetery on Okopowa Street
The Jewish cemetery on Okopowa Street in Warsaw's Powązki district is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in Europe. The cemetery , which was laid out in 1806, has over 200,000 graves with gravestones on an area of 33 hectares , as well as mass graves of murdered residents of the Warsaw ghetto from the time of the German occupation . The cemetery synagogue was located here .
