Jürgen Backes (* 1965 in Darmstadt ) is a German music manager, music publisher and music producer .

Life

Jürgen Backes grew up in Mannheim and lives in Cologne . He worked u. a. with Masterboy , Music Instructor , Worlds Apart , Bad Boys Blue , Double Impact, Rodrigues, Undercover, Ofra Haza , 4 the Cause , B3 and Nate Dogg and sold more than 25 million records and compilations worldwide. With his artists and productions he was represented more than 100 times in the charts worldwide. Together with Supermax Kurt Hauenstein he produced and remixed his album Supermax - 20th Anniversary . In 2000 he produced the album Funiculi-Funicula of Circus Roncalli together with Holger Müller . In 2004 he worked on the interactive music software Popvoice .

His music publisher Culture of Music Publishing , which he has been running with Martina Göbels since 1996, is administered by Universal Music Publishing . About 250 songs, including u. a. Title music for alfredissimo! Cooking with Bio , The Crimes of Professor Capellari - Sting in the Meat, The Beasts (ZDF), are included in the publisher's scope. Since 2008 he has been producing with his production company JBM Music & Media u. a. Schlager - as well as party artists. In 2011 he and a business partner founded three new music labels that are active in the party, hit and dance sectors.
