Jürgen Brüning
Jürgen Brüning (born August 26, 1958 in Honnef ) is a German filmmaker .
Life
After graduating from high school in 1978, Brüning studied pedagogy and psychology in Berlin and was a member of the squatter scene at the time . In 1980 he co-founded the Eiszeitkino in Berlin, experimented with Super 8 and began his career as a filmmaker. In 1986 he shot the TV drama Kinder der Konfettimaschine for ZDF , in 1992 he launched the gay and lesbian film festival Berlin , in 1996 he founded the film production company Cazzo Film , but withdrew after five years to found a new company called Wurstfilm . In 2006 he initiated the Berlin Porn Film Festival . Brüning lives and works in Berlin-Kreuzberg .
He has produced more than 30 productions, including documentaries such as Too Much Pussy! from 2010.
Awards
- His short documentary film He is bald and is racist, he is gay and a fascist (1994) received the second prize for best film at the 1995 Dresden Film Festival .
