Jürgen Breest

Jürgen Breest (born July 1, 1936 in Karlsruhe ) is a German writer .

Life

Jürgen Breest studied German language and literature and history from 1956 to 1961 at the Universities of Hamburg and Marburg . He then settled in Bremen as a freelance writer . From 1963 to 1969 he worked as an editor and dramaturge in the television department of Radio Bremen . From 1969 to 1999 he was in charge of the "Television Game and Entertainment" department of the same station and, among other things, supervised numerous productions with Loriot .

Jürgen Breest is the author of radio and television plays ; in addition, he wrote socially critical novels and short stories. Since the 1980s, the focus of his work has been on the detective novel .
