Jürgen Großkurth

Jürgen Großkurth (also HJ Großkurth , H. Jürgen Großkurth or Hans Jürgen Großkurth ; born April 13, 1949 in Bebra ) is a German writer, poet, poet and author. He lives and works in Bebra.

Life

After graduating from high school in Rotenburg an der Fulda in 1968 , Jürgen Großkurth studied educational sciences with a focus on fine arts and evangelical theology and didactics of the doctrine of the faith in Giessen . After the first state examination in 1972, he worked briefly as a temporary worker and also as a musician in various bands.

In September 1972 he was employed as a trainee lawyer in the school service of the State of Hesse . After an additional examination in German studies , he worked from 1974 as a secondary and secondary school teacher in Ronshausen and then in Bebra.

From 1976 to 2011 he worked as a district liaison teacher in the district student council of the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district . At the same time he joined the Association of German Writers / VS Hessen in 1976 . From 1977 he volunteered in the local Bebra branch of the Education and Science Union (GEW). From 1982 to 1986 he was part of the trio of district chairmen of the GEW.

Since 1971 he has been a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany and for many years was secretary in the local committee of the SPD , its chairman in 1993/94 and until now a member of the board. He is also a member of the sub-district executive of the SPD. From 1981 to 2001 he was in the ecumenical course chaplaincy in Kurhessen and Waldeck as a speaker on a lecture and reading tour. From 1989 to 2001 he was a member of the parish council of Bebra. From 1989 to 2011 he was an honorary city councilor in the municipality of Bebra and since 2001 a member of the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district council.

He published his first texts as a student in 1967 in the Kasseler Post and Hessische Allgemeine . His birthday book Ein liebes Wort , published in 1981 by the Hamburg publishing house Agentur des Rauhen Haus , was a best seller. He read from his works in numerous readings (schools, geriatric welfare institutions, prisons and lecture halls, for example in health resorts) and also presented other Hessian authors for over a decade in the "vbw" Eschwege and at the 1985 Hessentag. The Austrian publisher Wolfgang Hager now looks after its publications.

There are now 11 individual publications and more than a hundred co-publications in anthologies . He also emerged as the editor of poetry. In 1976 he was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the magazine Das Boot, and in 1977 he published a cartoon of his cartoon of the week in Welt am Sonntag - issue 23/77; In 1988 he was awarded the third prize in the HAFIZ literature competition for his (lyric) oeuvre.
