Jürgen Großmann (politician)

Jürgen Großmann (born March 8, 1962 in Wart ) is a German local politician ( CDU ). Since 2008 he has been the Lord Mayor of Nagold .

Life

Grossman put the Abitur at the commercial high school in Calw and studied at Tübingen Eberhard Karls University of Law . In 1988 he passed the first and in 1991 the second state examination with distinction . He then worked as a lawyer in Nagold for ten years . He is a specialist lawyer for family law .

Großmann is a member of the CDU . In 2001 he was elected mayor of Altensteig . In 2008 he applied to succeed Lord Mayor Rainer Prewo . In the election on September 28, 2008, he received 54.41 percent of the vote and was thus elected Lord Mayor of Nagold in the first ballot. He took office on December 1, 2008. On October 9, 2016, he was the only candidate for re-election and was elected for a second term with 97.5 percent of the vote.

Großmann is married.
