Jürgen Gutowski (journalist)

Jürgen Gutowski (born February 13, 1955 in Bramsche ) is a German journalist, filmmaker and singer-songwriter. He works in the departments Travel & Lifestyle, Religion & Society, Culture & Entertainment.

Life and work

Jürgen Gutowski studied Protestant theology and journalism at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and graduated in 1988 with a master's degree . In the following years he worked as an editor or editor-in-chief a. a. for the Evangelical Broadcasting Service North (ERN) in Kiel , was head of service at Antenne Niedersachsen and editor-in-chief of Friends Of Bentley magazine in Hanover. Gutowski u. a. for radio ffn , SWR , Radio Schleswig-Holstein and RPR . Gutowski is still active as a radio and television journalist for the broadcasters of ARD and Deutschlandfunk . From 2005 to 2008 he worked in South Africa with headquarters in Cape Town and East London as a correspondent for various broadcasters and print media in Germany and Switzerland. His audio book of the same name was also created in South Africa and was published in two editions by Geophon Berlin .

From 1994 to 2001 Jürgen Gutowski worked worldwide as a contract photographer and editor for Hideaways Magazine, which is published by Klocke Verlag Bielefeld. Gutowski has been working as a filmmaker, journalist and speaker at Ev since 2012. Church in the NDR in Hanover and Hamburg. Gutowski has been a speaker with various ethical-theological and medical multimedia lectures since 2018. a. on the subject of Guillain-Barré Syndrome , a rare disease that Jürgen Gutowski himself contracted in 2015. His lecture "Rendezvous with Another Life - The Long Road to Healing" is performed in hospitals, churches, foundations and the media.

Since 1980 Jürgen Gutowski has written and published a large number of German-language songs, poems and comedy contributions. As a soloist and band member in various formations, he still appears on national stages, festivals and church days. In 1981 Gutowski released his first record, the main prize at a song festival in Hann. Münden, from which Jürgen Gutowski emerged as the winner. This was followed by joint works with the Göttingen musician Michael Bertram for Radio Bremen and social media, and Gutowski also works with various bands and film composers in his lectures. He was a founding member of the songwriters' interest group (IG LiMa), his style of music has always changed and is currently defined as "Poetic Rock" by the Gutowski / Bertram team.
