Jürgen Hensen

Jürgen Hensen (born February 20, 1945 in Stolberg (Rhineland) ) is a German lawyer and former President of the German Federal Administration Office .

After graduating from high school, Hensen studied law in Münster and Freiburg im Breisgau . He passed his first state examination in law in 1969 and obtained his doctorate in 1972. jur. In 1974 he passed the second state law examination. From 1975 to 1984 he worked in the Federal Ministry for Research and Technology .

From 1984 to 1987 he was a speaker in the German Bundestag . Then he was personal assistant to the head of the Federal Chancellery until 1989 . From 1989 to 1990 he was head of the ministerial office in the Federal Ministry of the Interior , most recently a sub-department head in the department of internal policy issues.

From 1995 to 2010 he was President of the Federal Office of Administration and, in some cases, also President of the Federal Compensation Office . He is the editor of the Zeitschrift für Gesetzgebung (ZG).
