Jürgen Kipp

Jürgen Kipp (* 25. December 1946 in Walsrode ) is a German judge in retirement and acting ombudsman of the arbitration body energy . For many years he was a judge at the Federal Administrative Court and President of the Higher Administrative Court in Berlin-Brandenburg .

Life

Kipp studied law in Göttingen and Tübingen . After his legal clerkship , he was hired as a probationary judge in the judicial service of the State of Berlin in May 1976 . In 1979 Kipp was appointed judge at the Berlin Administrative Court, and in 1985 he was appointed judge at the Berlin Higher Administrative Court . From 1990 he was presiding judge at the Berlin Administrative Court until his appeal to the Federal Administrative Court in 1992. In August 2002, Kipp initially returned to the Berlin Higher Administrative Court as Vice-President and was appointed President in December 2002. Kipp was responsible for merging the Higher Administrative Courts of Berlin and Brandenburg, through which he became President of the merged Higher Administrative Court of Berlin-Brandenburg in July 2005 . He retired on December 31, 2011.

In September 2013, Kipp published his book One Hundred Years , which deals with the history of the building of the Berlin Appellate Court at Kleistpark.

Since November 1, 2013, Kipp has been the ombudsman of the Energy Arbitration Board and as such is responsible for arbitrating disputes between consumers and energy supply companies .

Kipp has been a member since 1978, a board member since 1980 and chairman of the board of directors of the Schöneberg neighborhood home since 1991 . V., a non-profit provider of care and socio-cultural offers.
