Jürgen Marquardt

Jürgen Marquardt (born June 2, 1936 in Göttingen ; † January 15, 2019 in Garbsen ) was a German university professor for high-frequency technology .

Life

Jürgen Marquardt studied from 1960 to 1966 in Braunschweig at the city's Technical University , the specialist electrical engineering . After graduating, he worked at the University of Hanover as a research assistant, then as an academic adviser at the Institute for High Frequency Technology. After his doctorate as Dr.-Ing. he worked from 1971 to 1979 in Backnang at the company ANT Nachrichtenentechnik on the further development of the radio relay and in the basic development of the company ANT , where he most recently headed the microwave laboratory.

In 1980, Marquard was appointed professor of the Institute for High Frequency Technology at Leibniz University Hanover, which he managed from 1995 to September 2001.
