Jürgen Suchanek (born March 24, 1955 ) is a former German soccer player and current coach .

Career

Suchanek played for Spandauer SV , from there he moved to VfL Wolfsburg for one season , played five games in the 2nd Bundesliga and finished with his team in the penultimate nineteenth place in the table and relegated. He then returned to Spandau, which had just been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. For the new league player, he completed 26 league games and scored three goals. With eight points in the final table of the 1976/77 season , Spandau said goodbye with 23 points behind on a non-relegation place after a year from the 2nd division. Suchanek moved to the Bundesliga for MSV Duisburg , played one season, went to SC Herford for the first half of the following season , returned to the Zebras for half a year and then stayed in Herford until 1980. For MSV, he played nine games in his two Bundesliga seasons. He then played for FC 08 Homburg , with whom he was relegated to the upper league in the 1980/81 second division season , and for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the upper division of North Rhine .

In the 1986/87 season Suchanek was under Werner Lorant player-coach at the Bayern league club SV Heidingsfeld . In the following season he took over the coaching position himself and was supported by Günter Fürhoff . Later he was a coach at SV Buchholz in Berlin-Pankow in the district league A for a few years . At the end of the 2013/14 season, he was in charge of the BFC Alemannia 90 in the relegation battle before returning to the state division Spandauer SV in summer 2014 as a coach .
