The JS Klotz publishing house , based in Schloss Bauschlott ( Neulingen municipality ), is a German publisher with a cultural focus. In addition to illustrated books, art and church guides as well as exhibition catalogs and monographs, the publisher also publishes novels and other fiction works. The JS Klotz publishing house also operates an art museum and a café in Schloss Bauschlott.

history

The JS Klotz publishing house was founded in 2015 by Jeff S. Klotz and Ewald Freiburger and quickly developed from a publishing house for church leaders, sacred illustrated books and regional history to a comprehensive publishing house with a broad cultural focus. The main focus of the titles published in 2019 (75) are exhibition catalogs, illustrated books, and art and church guides.

Alignment and Concept

The JS Klotz Verlagshaus sees itself as an innovative publisher in the field of art and culture as well as fiction with a cultural reference. The goal of developing networked concepts through networking in the field of young academics and young artists and cultural workers in order to bring literature closer to a younger readership. Therefore, the activities of the publishing house are increasingly focused on the combination of cultural management and publishing work as well as exhibitions, cultural events and study travel programs.

Another goal of the publishing house is the maintenance and cultural use of the Bauschlott Palace. Here the publishing house operates an art museum with around 200 works from antiquity to the present day. Works by Wilhelm Trübner , Franz von Lenbach , Anselm Feuerbach , Max Slevogt , Otto Dix and other artists and collections with works by KRH Sonderborg , Ivo Hauptmann , Carlos Grethe and the artist couple Vera and Bert Joho can be seen.

With the café in Schloss Bauschlott, the publishing house operates its own cultural forum for art, history, literature and music. Events such as B. readings, lectures, concerts and workshops take place. The café is decorated in the style of the Viennese coffee houses and also has an outdoor area in the garden of the palace.
