The JAC S2 is a compact SUV built by the Chinese car manufacturer JAC since 2015 , which is positioned above the JAC S2 Mini and below the JAC S3 .
history
The S2 was presented for the first time at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2015. The five-seater has been sold in China since August 31, 2015. In Brazil, the vehicle is sold as the JAC T40 .
Electric version
The JAC iEV7S with an 85 kW (116 PS) electric motor has been available in China since October 27, 2017 . The vehicle has a battery with a capacity of 40 kWh. According to the NEDC , JAC specifies the range at 300 km and the top speed at 130 km / h. The electric version has also been sold in Austria by RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria since spring 2019 .
In May 2018, the Volkswagen Group presented the Sol E20X together with JAC in Hefei , which is almost identical to the JAC iEV7S. It represents the first model of the newly founded Sol brand ( Chinese : 思 皓). A near-series vehicle was shown at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2018. The Volkswagen Group originally wanted to sell the electric car under the Seat brand , but the Chinese government did not allow this. The Sol E20X went on sale in China in autumn 2019.
In April 2020, the Italian manufacturer DR Automobiles presented the DR Evo Electric based on the iEV7S .
