In his works, Tylicki uses Land Art , installation , video and photography techniques and often takes up social and political issues.

In 1973 Tylicki started working on his cycle entitled “Natural Art” by letting the sheets of paper or canvases fly freely in front of the wind and then letting them lie in a natural environment for a certain period of time. In this way he has forced nature to adapt to the attitude that was previously reserved for an artist, namely to give an object a form.

1974–1990 he worked on the design of an anonymous artist by publishing the periodical "Anonymous Artist". In this edition, artists were encouraged to publish their work without disclosing their names.

In 1985 he created the installation “Chicken Art”. The New York gallery has been converted into a chicken coop here, where live chickens look at the pictures hanging on the walls, realistically depicting other chickens, roosters or chicks. On the occasion of this installation, Tylicki gave the slogan that “For one chicken, another chicken is the most beautiful”. Another exhibition was "Free Art" (New York 1987), for which the invited New York artists made their works available free of charge.

Photography plays a crucial role in Tylicki's work. It serves as an expression of their short-lived nature and fading.
