Jacek Wilk

Jacek Wilk (born August 17, 1974 in Kocina ) is a Polish politician, lawyer and economist . Since 2015 he has been a member of the Sejm in the eighth electoral term.

Life

Jacek Wilk is a graduate of the Bartłomiej Nowodworski High School in Kraków . In 1998 he completed a master’s degree in international economic and political relations and banking at the SGH . The following year Wilk studied at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw . In 2001 he completed postgraduate studies in law as part of a scholarship at the Erasmus University Rotterdam . From 2001 to 2005 he completed his legal clerkship in Warsaw and began to study for a doctorate . He worked in various consulting firms and law firms until he finally founded his own law firm in 2005.

In May 2011 he joined the Nowej Prawicy Congress and was appointed vice chairman on August 23, 2013. He performed this function for about a year. In the 2011 parliamentary elections and the 2014 European elections , he was unable to be elected to the Sejm . After Janusz Korwin-Mikke left , he ran for the presidency as a representative of the KNP. Jacek Wilk took the penultimate place out of eleven applicants and received 0.46% of the vote. He managed to get a seat in the 2015 general election from the list of the Kukiz'15 movement . In November 2017 he joined the Wolność led by Korwin-Mikke and is an independent MP after leaving the Kukiz faction.
