Jacinto Maia

Jacinto Maia (* 1972 ? † January 31, 2007 in Dili , East Timor ) was a politician from East Timor.

Maia entered the National Parliament of East Timor for FRETILIN in the 2001 constituent assembly elections . He was one of the leading politicians in what was then the Ermera district . Shortly before the 2007 general election, he felt uncomfortable after a session in Parliament and was rushed to hospital where he died at the age of 34.
