Jack Thomas Andraka (born January 8, 1997 in Maryland ) is an American inventor . He won the Gordon E. Moore Award in 2012 at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair , the largest pre-university research competition in the world, with a method for diagnosing various types of cancer.
