Jack B. Sowards

Jack B. Sowards (born March 18, 1929 in Texarkana , Arkansas , † July 8, 2007 in Valley Village , California ) was an American screenwriter , film producer and film actor .

Life

Sowards began his career as an actor , but after two small supporting roles in two war films , in the late 1950s , he decided to become a screenwriter. Sowards wrote especially on television series . For example, Bonanza , Barnaby Jones , The Streets of San Francisco and Spaceship Enterprise: The Next Century are among Soward's works. With the help of writer Harve Bennett , he also wrote the script for the science fiction film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan . In addition to his role as a screenwriter, he also worked as a producer on the short-lived series Hagen .

Sowards was a father of four and a grandfather of two.
