The Bold Ones: The Lawyers is an American television series that ran from 1969 to 1972. It was developed by Roy Huggins . The main roles were played by Burl Ives , Joseph Campanella and James Farentino . The court drama is part of the Wheel series The Bold Ones .
content
Walter Nicholls, a very successful lawyer, runs his own law firm in Los Angeles . He only takes interesting and difficult cases. Nevertheless, he needs help and hires brothers Brian and Neil Darrell. For the time being, you are negotiating explosive cases such as the murder of a campus policeman at a student protest. At the trial, the suspect is more interested in the publicity than the trial. There are also ethical problems when, for example, a client for whom you have obtained an acquittal confesses to the murder in a small group of drunk people at the subsequent celebration. Shortly thereafter, someone else is charged with the murder.
background
Roy Huggins , the series' developer and executive producer, had promised before the series began that the series would not be a pure Whodunit and would not focus solely on the cases. In fact, the characters evolved over the course of the series, with Walter Nicholls, played by Burl Ives , becoming the focus of the series.
The Bold One: The Lawyers ran for three seasons and was then discontinued without replacement. This gave up the concept of the Wheel series for The Bold Ones , as only The Bold Ones: The New Doctors was running.

criticism
Joe Corey writes in his review that The Bold Ones: The Lawyers maintain the dramatic tension in the courtroom with techniques of documentary film . He also praises Burl Ives' formidable presence on the series. He is amazed at the content of the episode The Invasion of Kevin Ireland , in which the life of a successful employee is destroyed because a credit company messes up his data. He wonders how this was possible before the Internet was born.
