Mills Watson

Mills Watson (* 10. July 1940 as William Oscar Watson in Oakland , California ) is an American actor .

Life

Watson began his acting career in 1963 with a small role in the Western series Temple Houston . It was to take his next television appearance until 1968, but now he received regular guest appearances in various series, most of which could be assigned to the western genre, such as High Chaparral , Smoking Colts and Bonanza . Watson made his feature film debut in 1970 at the side of Jim Brown and George Kennedy in the action drama ... tick ... tick ... tick . In 1973 he played one of the prison guards in Papillon with Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman in the lead roles. He had other film roles in The Midnight Man alongside Burt Lancaster , in The Gold Treasure of Matecumbe alongside Peter Ustinov and in the Stephen King film adaptation Cujo .

Between 1978 and 1981 he played first in the series BJ and the Bear and later in the spin-off Sheriff Lobo the role of Deputy Perkins .

Watson was known, however, mainly through his portrayal of malign narcotics officer Harry in the Cheech and Chong - Comedy Smoking Kills . His last television appearance was in 1988 in the television film Faustrecht des Westens , based on the series Smoking Colts .
