Ramon Bieri

Ramon Bieri (born June 16, 1929 in St. Louis , Missouri - † May 27, 2001 in Woodland Hills , Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .

Life

Bieri began his acting career in the early 1960s, initially as a theater actor . He played off-Broadway among others Macduff in Macbeth and Enobarbus in Antonius and Cleopatra and made his Broadway debut in 1963 in Too True to Be Beautiful by George Bernard Shaw . In addition, he appeared in various television series from 1962 and was seen in various series guest roles for four decades. In 1981 he played in Bret Maverick , the remake of the western series Maverick , alongside James Garner the role of Elijah Crow . However, this was discontinued after the first season.

He also played in a number of successful feature films. He had bigger roles in Robert Wise's science fiction film Andromeda - Deadly Dust from Space , Terrence Malick's Badlands - Shattered Dreams and Robert Aldrich's A Rabbi in the Wild West . He made his film debut in 1966 alongside Jacqueline Bisset and Joseph Cotten in The Grasshopper .
