Jon Roger Davis (born April 5, 1939 in Bowling Green , Kentucky ) is an American actor .

Life

Roger Davis is the son of Edwin and Virginia Davis. The family soon moved to Louisville , Kentucky, so Louisville is also listed as his place of birth. He graduated from Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon , Tennessee . He then studied American and British literature with architecture as a minor at Columbia University and at the University of California, Los Angeles . At that time, he was also thinking of teaching in college. Upon graduation, he received a contract with Warner Brothers . He had his first television role in the series The Gallant Men . He also had recurring roles in the series Redigo and the daily soap Dark Shadows ; as a guest actor he was seen in series such as Twilight Zone or Bonanza .
