Michael Ritchie

Michael Brunswick Ritchie (born November 28, 1938 in Waukesha , Wisconsin , † April 16, 2001 in New York City ) was an American director .

Live and act

Ritchie was the son of Benbow Ferguson Ritchie and his wife Patricia. Before and during his career in film, he studied at Harvard University , where he graduated in 1960. He made his debut as a director in 1955 as a television director. He directed an episode of the Solo series for ONCEL .

Michael Ritchie was also active as a screenwriter , in 1993 the comedy film Cool Runnings was created based on one of his scripts .

He was married twice and has five children.
