Valley Village
Valley Village is a district of the US city of Los Angeles and is located in the San Fernando Valley . It is an area dominated by single-family houses and small shops.

Valley Village is bordered by North Hollywood to the north and east , Studio City to the south, and Sherman Oaks and Valley Glen to the west . It is bounded to the north by Burbank Boulevard, to the west by Coldwater Avenue, to the south by the Ventura Freeway and to the east by the Tujunga Wash , a tributary of the Los Angeles River .

According to the 2000 census, there were 24,190 people in Valley Village at the time. According to estimates by the City of Los Angeles, there were 25,665 people in the area in 2008. 66.7% of the population are white, an above-average proportion for Los Angeles County and the City of Los Angeles. The most common origins are Russian (7.2%) and German (7.1%). 28.9% of the population were not born in the United States . The median income per household in Valley Village is $ 55,470.
history
In the 1930s, film studio employees began building houses in what is now Valley Village. The US Post recognized the "Valley Village" address. However, it was part of North Hollywood until 1991 .
In June 2015, a house on Hermitage Avenue that was occupied by Marilyn Monroe in the 1940s was demolished .
