action

The serial killer Jack Frost murdered 38 people in cold blood. When he was caught and sentenced to death, the police van had an accident on its way through a raging snowstorm to his execution with a truck loaded with genetically treated test samples. He collides with the police van and Jack is contaminated. He mutates into a killer snowman who is now in control and wants to kill the sheriff who put him behind bars.

After several residents try in vain to kill the snowman, they discover that the snowman can always be reassembled from the melted snow. It therefore seems impossible to stop the snowman.

Fortunately, it is discovered that the snowman can be stopped by antifreeze. In a dramatic duel with a resident, the snowman falls into a pickup truck that has filled its loading area with antifreeze. Jack can no longer regenerate from this. The antifreeze is filled into canisters and buried.

The last scene shows how the bottled antifreeze starts to bubble. Jack doesn't seem to have been defeated yet.

reception

The film received mostly negative reviews, although a certain cult factor is attributed to it. At Rotten Tomatoes , only 7% of reviews are positive out of a total of 14 reviews; the average rating is 3/10. The lexicon of international films described the film as a "bizarre horror film" that presented a "ridiculously gruesome Christmas story".
