Jack Mingjie Lin (born April 15, 1999 ) is a Canadian tennis player .

Career

As a junior, Lin took part in several grand slam tournaments for juniors and the Orange Bowl . In the youth world rankings he reached his highest place at the beginning of 2016 with rank 47. As a youth player, he was also the Canadian champion and played for the Canadian youth Davis Cup team.

After his time as a junior he played irregular professional tournaments on the ITF Future Tour , but so far he has rarely won matches. At the Challengers in Canada, he also got wild cards to participate in the main draw. In 2017, Lie began studying at Columbia University in New York. He also plays college tennis there .

In an internal elimination of the New York students, Lie won a wildcard for the ATP Tour event in New York City in 2018 . There he lost in February 2019 in the opening round against his compatriot Brayden Schnur in two sets. In the world rankings he has so far been placed in singles and doubles. In 2019 it is no longer listed.
