Career

Jack Nebe began his career as an ice hockey goalkeeper with the Cape Town Rams , for which he made his debut in the 2010 season in the Western Province Ice Hockey League , one of the regional ice hockey leagues in South Africa, whose champions play the South African national champions at the end of the season. In 2012 he switched to local rival Cape Town Storm , who also plays in the WPIHL and for whom he has been in goal ever since - interrupted only in 2013 when he played for some games on loan with the Cape Town Penguins.

International

In the junior division, Nebe represented South Africa at the U18 World Championships in Division III in 2010 and 2011 . In both tournaments he was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament. In 2010 he had the best catch rate of all goalkeepers with 90.1% and was voted the best player on his team.

With the men's national team , he took part in the World Championships in Division II in 2012 , when he was voted the best player in his team despite being only 18 years old, and in 2014 and Division III in 2013 . He and the team rose to Division II by winning their home tournament in Cape Town in 2013 and, as the goalkeeper with the lowest number of goals conceded per game, made a significant contribution to the success of his team. In 2014 he achieved the third-best catch quota of the tournament in group B of Division II behind the Spaniard Ander Alcaine and the New Zealander Jaden Pine-Murphy .
