Jackie Niebisch

Jackie Niebisch (born October 15, 1959 in Strasbourg ) is an author and illustrator of numerous children's books.

Niebisch studied German and Romance languages and began writing and drawing short stories while still studying. He had his first big success with the book The Little Punk (1985). The cartoon of the same name was released in 1992, in the US as The Little Punk. More stories about Amadeus, the little punk, followed. He is also the author of the series The School of Little Vampires (2006-2010), which was also filmed in 104 parts, and the stories about The Little Wilds, which were animated in the evening greeting of Our Sandman . His books have been translated into numerous languages ​​and have appeared in Poland, Spain, France, Brazil and Korea, among others.

After long stays in China with a residence in Shanghai , Niebisch is now living in Berlin again and studying Chinese there .
