Jackson Odell

Jackson Reid Odell (born July 2, 1997 in Colorado - † June 8, 2018 in Tarzana , California ) was an American actor and singer-songwriter .

Life

Odell's acting career began at the age of eleven with small roles in Private Practice and Tripp's rock band . He has worked in Modern Family , iCarly and The Goldbergs, among others .

For the past few years Odell has been a singer-songwriter in the field of country music . His compositions appeared on the soundtracks for the films Great Plains (2016) and Forever My Girl (2018) , among others .

Jackson Odell was found dead on June 8, 2018 in a rehab clinic in Tarzana, Los Angeles . Heroin and cocaine overdose were later found to be the cause of death.
