Jacqueline Chevé (born August 21, 1961 in Merdrignac , Département Côtes-d'Armor , † March 15, 2010 in Paris ) was a French politician of the Parti socialiste (PS) .

biography

Chevé was the director of a dormitory in Lamballe and began her political career in local politics as a member of the Parti socialiste. Between 2001 and 2008 she was a councilor ( Conseillère Municipale ) of Loudéac and from 2004 until her death she was also a member of the Regional Council ( Conseillère Régionale ) of Brittany . She was a candidate on the list of Jean-Yves Le Drian , President of the Regional Council of Brittany .

On September 21, 2008 she was elected Senator and as such represented the interests of the PS in the Côtes-d'Armor department. In the Senate, she was a member of the Social Affairs Committee and the Delegation for Women's Rights.
