Jacques-Raymond Lucotte

Jacques-Raymond Lucotte (* 1739 ; † 1811 ) was a French architect , locksmith, mechanic and encyclopedist .

Live and act

He was a student at the Académie royale d'architecture in Paris. On August 15, 1765 he founded a free art school with the painter Poiraton, which only existed for a short time.

For the Encyclopaedia of Denis Diderot and Jean le Rond d'Alembert , he wrote several articles, so over masonry , maçonnerie , marble , marbrier , marquetry marqueterie , carpentry menuiserie , mosaic mosaïque (art.
