Jacques Deval

Jacques Deval ( June 27, 1895 - December 19, 1972 ) was a French playwright and director .

life and work

His best-known piece is Towarisch , premiered in 1933 with Elvire Popescu and filmed in 1937 by Anatole Litvak with Claudette Colbert and Charles Boyer .
