Jacques Hermant

Jacques Hermant (born May 7, 1855 in Paris , † June 5, 1930 ) was a French architect who is known as one of the pioneers of reinforced concrete construction .

Life

Jacques Hermant was the son of the architect Pierre-Antoine-Achille Hermant (1823-1903). He later became a professor at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris and at the same time head architect of the city of Paris and the French government. In 1906 he was one of the drafters of a ministerial ordinance on the use of reinforced concrete.
