Jaime Alfonso Ruiz (born January 3, 1984 in Cali ) is a former Colombian football player .

Ruiz played for various clubs in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru between 2003 and 2008 , from 2003 to 2005 for the Colombian second division team Cortuluá , 2005 for the Ecuadorian club Sociedad Deportiva Aucas , 2006 for the Colombian first division team Deportivo Pasto , and 2007 for the Peruvian first division team Cienciano del Cuzco and 2007-2008 for the Peruvian first division club Alianza Atlético Sullana .
In 2008 Ruiz moved to Belgium for KVC Westerlo . In the 2008/2009 season he scored 17 goals (according to another source 18), making him the top scorer in the Jupiler Pro League . His contract with Westerlo runs until 2011. After the contract expired, he played for KV Mechelen for two years and then returned to Westerlo. He spent the 2014/15 season at KSK Heist .
National team
On March 29, 2003 Ruiz played his only game for the senior national team of Colombia . In the friendly against South Korea (0-0) in Busan , he came on for Jairo Castillo in the 87th minute .
