Jaime Jiménez Merlo (born December 10, 1980 in Valdepeñas ) is a former Spanish football goalkeeper .

Career

Jiménez began his career at Valencia CF , where he played for the third division team. In 2000 he moved to the third division Gimnàstic de Tarragona , with whom he rose to the second division in 2001. However, he moved to third division club FC Zamora . In 2003 he moved to AD Ceuta . In 2005 he moved to the second division club Ciudad de Murcia . After the club was relocated in 2007, he moved to the successor club FC Granada 74 . He made his debut on matchday 1 2007/08 against FC Cádiz . After relegation to the third division in 2008, he moved to the second division club FC Elche . In 2011 he joined league rivals Real Valladolid , with whom he rose to the first division in 2012. He made his first division debut on matchday 1 2012/13 against Real Zaragoza . After relegation to the second division in 2014, he moved to the first division SD Eibar .
