Jakob Eder (politician)

Jakob Eder (born May 3, 1874 in Sprendlingen , † February 27, 1932 in Alsfeld ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Eder was born as the son of the unskilled manual worker Jakob Eder. After attending elementary school he completed a Sattler teaching and worked until 1903 as a saddler journeyman . He then worked as an independent master upholsterer and upholsterer in Alsfeld until his death. He joined the SPD and was from January 1919 to November 1921 a member of the state parliament of the people's state of Hesse . Before that, he had been a member of the city council in Alsfeld since 1911. Jakob Eder was Catholic.
