Jörg Hanft

Jörg Hanft (born February 24, 1964 in Selb , Bavaria ) is a former German ice hockey player who played in the ice hockey Bundesliga and in the DEL for the Mannheim ERC and the Adler Mannheim.

Player career

The 1.88 m tall defender began his career at VERE Selb , for which he was on the ice from 1981 to 1986, with the exception of the club's top division season 1983/84 in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey . During the 1986/87 season , the left-handed player moved to the Mannheim ERC in the Bundesliga, for whose outsourced professional team, the Adler Mannheim , he was also active after the establishment of the new top German professional game class DEL. Hanft played a total of 34 times in the German national team during his career in Mannheim .

After almost ten years in Mannheim, Hanft returned to his home club in the 1st League South, which had since been renamed ERC Selb . The defensive man ended his career at Bayern after the 2002/03 league season .
