Jakub Radomir Kumoch (born November 16, 1975 in Warsaw ) is a Polish diplomat , journalist and political scientist.

Life

Kumoch studied political science from 1999 and Turkish studies from 2001 at the University of Warsaw and graduated with a master's degree. In 2015 he received his PhD with a dissertation on the European Union at the Jagiellonian University .

From 2000 to 2001 Kumoch worked in the Polish Center for Eastern Studies , from 1999 to 2004 for the Polish Press Agency . He also worked as a journalist for Przekrój (2005–2006) and Dziennik (2006–2009). He then worked as an expert on French foreign policy and the European External Action Service at the Polish Institute for International Affairs (2010) and at the Sobieski Institute (2011-2013). From 2011 to 2016 he was an expert on the role of the media in election processes, spokesman, long-term observer for the EU election observation missions. From 2015-2016 he worked for the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland . From October 2016 to 2020, Kumoch was the Polish ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein , and Turkey has been since 2020 .

He speaks French , English , German , Spanish , Croatian / Serbian , Russian , Turkish , Arabic .

He is married and has two children.
