Jakub Zabłocki (born July 14, 1984 in Chełmno ; † August 22, 2015 ) was a Polish football player who was last active with Rodło Kwidzyn.

Career

Zabłocki began his career at small clubs such as Gwiazda Starogród and Pomowiec Kijewo before moving to Chemik Bydgoszcz in 2000 . He stayed there for only a year and moved to local rivals Polonia Bydgoszcz for the 2001/02 season . There, too, it only lasted a year, since he moved to Sparta Brodnica for the 2002/03 season, before moving from there to professional football and moving to Korona Kielce . Since he had not got beyond the role of the supplementary player, he moved to Pogon Staszów . After a year he was hired again at his former club Korona Kielce and made his first two games in the Ekstraklasa . In the 2007/08 season Zablocki completed nine games in the Ekstraklasa and scored two goals. In the summer of 2008 Marek Motyka brought him to the two-time Polish champions Polonia Bytom , in which he scored five goals in 15 games in the first half of the 2008/09 season. After he did not show up for training in the winter of 2009 due to outstanding salary, he was suspended from the squad along with Tomasz Owczarek . Ekstraklasa promoted Lechia Gdańsk secured the services of the striker in a free transfer . But after he disappointed there and had meanwhile been relegated to the reserve team, he moved to the second division club Wisła Płock in the summer of 2011 .

Zabłocki died of a heart attack on August 22, 2015 at the age of 31 .
