Seyyed Jalal Hosseini (born February 3, 1982 in Bandar Anzali , Iran ) is an Iranian football player who has been under contract with Al-Ahli SC in the Qatar Stars League since 2014 .
Career in the club
Hosseini played in the U-19 team of the Iranian first division team Malavan Anzali. Then he was from 2004 in the professional squad of the team, but without coming to a use in the league. Therefore, he moved to the 2005/06 season for league rivals Saipa FC for whom he was the player with the most playing time in his first season with 28 appearances over 90 minutes. In the following season he came to 26 missions, which he also denied all over 90 minutes. After two more seasons in which he played many games, he moved to Sepahan FC for the 2009/10 season . He completed 86 league games for this club and came on February 24, 2010 in the game against Al Shabab Riyadh for his first appearance in the AFC Champions League . In this game he also scored his first goal in this competition when he scored 1-0 in the 14th minute. His first appearance in the AFC Champions League was to be followed by 21 more for Sepahan. After three successful seasons in which he and his team won the championship, Hosseini moved to the capital club Persepolis Tehran for a transfer fee of one million euros . He made his debut for Persepolis on July 19, 2012 in the game against Sanat Naft , where he led his new team, as in the following games, as captain. He scored the first goal for his new club on October 21, 2012 when he scored the 2-0 goal with a headball in the game against Rah Ahan FC . After two seasons in Tehran, he moved to Qatar for Al-Ahli SC . There he made his debut on August 21, 2014 in the league game against Al-Sailiya SC , which his team won 4-1.
Career in the national team
Hosseini made his debut for the Iranian national team on February 7, 2007 in a friendly against Belarus. He took part with the team in the Asian Championships in 2007 , 2011 and 2015 and was eliminated with his team in the quarter-finals. Also in the 2014 World Cup he was in the squad of Iran and came in all three games of his team over the 90 minutes used.
