James Fleet

James Edward Fleet (born March 11, 1952 in Bilston , England ) is a British actor .

Life

James Fleet was born to a Scottish mother and an English father in Bilston (borough of Wolverhampton , West Midlands ), where he grew up until he was ten. After his father died, mother and son moved back to Aberdeenshire . Fleet studied engineering at the University of Aberdeen and took a few theater courses. After graduating, he moved to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD), where he obtained a second degree from the Institute for Drama. Only a short time later he received an engagement with the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). From the late 1980s, he also appeared increasingly in front of the camera and received roles in films such as Four Weddings and a Death , Kevin and Perry Do It and The Phantom of the Opera .

Fleet is married to fellow actor Jane Booker.
