James Gibson (born February 6, 1980 in Chelmsford , England ) is a British swimmer .

Career

James Gibson won gold over 50m breaststroke at the 2003 World Swimming Championships in Barcelona . He also won bronze in the 100 m breaststroke. At the Universiade 2003 he won two gold medals in the 50 m and 100 m breaststroke.

In 2002, at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester , he was able to win the title over 50 meters breast and the bronze medal over 100 meters breast in a new European record.
