James Kwame Bebaako Mensah

James Kwame Bebaako Mensah (born November 11, 1941 in Kete Krachi ) is a Ghanaian diplomat .

Career

Mensah received his diploma in political science from the University of Ghana in 1965 . A year later he received the Diploma of Public Administration of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration . The Public Service Management Certificate of the Military Forces School of Staff in Teshie was awarded in 1991. As an administrative officer, he was responsible for the Cape Coast district from 1966 to 1967 . Administrative director of the District of Winneba was 1967, which he led until 1972. Subsequently, he was again an administrative officer, this time in the Keta district. He was employed in the Ministry of Transport from 1974 to 1978. He was appointed chief secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Social Economy from 1978 to 1980. He was an official in the regional administration of the north from 1987 to 1991, after which he moved to the regional administration in Volta until 1993. From 1991 to 1993 he was head of department in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and until 1997 he was department head in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. In 1997 he was promoted to office manager of the President of the Republic of Ghana, which he held until 2001.

In 2009 he became Secretary to the President of the Republic. Since December 20, 2013 he has been the first Ghanaian ambassador to the Holy See , residing in Rome .

James Bebaako Mansah is married with five children.
